The senior men's ice hockey goaltender was perfect between the pipes this weekend, as he posted a pair of shutouts to help the nation's top-ranked Lakers clinch the No. 1-seed in the SUNYAC playoffs. Hare made 27 saves on Friday night in a 3-0 win over fourth-ranked Plattsburgh for the first Laker shutout against the Cardinals since 1998. Hare was back in net on Saturday where he stopped 19 shots in a 3-0 win over Potsdam for his third shutout of the season.
