The senior wrestler won the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference Championship at 165 pounds to help the Oswego State wrestling team finish seventh out of eight teams after earning 72 points on Saturday. Fisher capped off his 3-0 day with an 8-5 win in the championship bout over Oneonta's Shaun Gillen. He started the day with a 6-1 win over Tyler Brooks-Lambert of RIT followed by a 3-1 sudden victory decision against Lycoming's Greg Wetzel to advance to the championship bout. Fisher became the first Laker wrestler to earn an ECWC individual championship since 2006 and the first wrestler to earn a title at 165 pounds since Noah Seitel won back-to-back titles in 2001 and 2002.
