Oswego State junior field hockey player Jamie Scharfe (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) has been selected as the Laker Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 22, 2009. Scharfe turned in a stellar performance between the posts as she made 17 saves, including 10 in the first half, against sixth-ranked Cortland last Saturday. In the previous four games, she stopped 22 shots.
