Stephanie Bailey of the Oswego State Volleyball team has been named Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 22, 2013.

The junior had 44 kills on the week with 37 coming in the Oswego State Fall Classic where she was named tournament MVP.  Bailey’s efforts helped Lakers finish first in the Classic going 4-0.  The team is currently riding a six-game win streak.

Bailey led Oswego with seven kills against Utica and also registered four blocks.

In the first match of the Oswego State Fall Classic, Bailey tallied six kills and a block helping the Lakers to a 3-0 win over Alfred State.

Later Friday, Bailey had six kills and a season-high six blocks in Oswego's five-set victory over Elmira College.

In the Lakers four-set win over Geneseo Saturday, Bailey had ten kills and four blocks. 

Capping off Oswego's undefeated week, Bailey led the team with 11 kills and also registered a block against Hamilton in the Lakers five-set victory over the Continentals.

Oswego returns to action 5 p.m. Friday for SUNYAC pool play in Cortland.
