Oswego State Athletics

Nicole Leader of the Oswego State Women’s Tennis team has been named Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 29, 2013.

The senior captain went 2-0 on the week for the Lakers in singles play, battling through a wrist injury that forced her to play left-handed. 

Leader helped Oswego to a 6-3 victory against St. John Fisher with a straight-set 7-5, 6-4 victory.  In her second match of the week against Fredonia, Leader won at second singles 6-4, 6-1.

The Lakers continue play 3 p.m. Wednesday in Utica before returning home for match against Daemen College at 12 p.m. Saturday.
