Oswego State Athletics

Alex Botten of the Oswego State Men’s Ice Hockey team has been named Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 3, 2013. 

Botten helped the Lakers to a 3-2 victory over Buffalo State for the team’s first win of the season over the weekend.  In the second period against the Bengals, Botten capitalized on a power-play netting his first collegiate goal.  Later in the period, Botten assisted fellow freshman Matt Galati on the eventual game-winning goal.

Oswego Men’s Ice Hockey returns to action at 7 p.m., on Saturday for a SUNYAC matchup at Cortland.
