OSWEGO, N.Y. - Justin Sommer has won Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on September 28, 2014.

Sommer led the Lakers this week at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational hosted by Roberts Wesleyan. He clocked in at 26:51.5 in the 8K race. The time was good enough for 22nd in a race that held 233 runners including some hailing from Division I universities.

The freshman's time also helped earn his team seventh place out 25.

Cross Country returns to action  at 11 a.m. this Saturday for the Hamilton College Invititational.
