OSWEGO, N.Y. - Josh Yager has been awarded Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on October 5, 2014.
The sophmore played solid for the Lakers defensively, pushing them to a 1-1 weekend.
His big moment came in Friday's overtime win against Potsdam. With only a minute to go in the first overtime, Oswego was awarded a throw-in deep in the Bears territory. Eric Widanka threw the ball right into the box and Yager was able to get his leg on it to score the game-winning goal, clinching a big win within the SUNYAC conference as well.
