OSWEGO, N.Y. - Mitchell Herlihey of the men's ice hockey team has been named the Oswego State Athlete of the Week for the week ending on Jan. 4, 2015.

Herlihey had four points during Oswego's championship run in the PathFinder Bank Oswego Classic Tournament this weekend. 

In the first game against Tufts University, the freshman had an assist on the Lakers first goal. During the championship game against Nazareth, Herlihey really shined, scoring one goal and assisting on two others to helping Oswego capture the victory and earn the title of PathFinder Bank Oswego Classic Champions for the third straight year.

The Ottawa native was also selected MVP of the entire Tournament.

Men's ice hockey will return to action at 7 p.m. on Friday when they square off against Hobart College at the Marano Campus Center Arena.
