OSWEGO, N.Y. - Shawn Hulshof of the men's ice hockey team has been named the Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on Jan. 25, 2015.
Hulshof had six points in a 2-0 weekend for the Lakers. The team is currently 12-2-3 on the year and 7-1-1 in the SUNYAC
On Friday's 6-0 win against Buffalo State, the sophomore nabbed two of his points, recording both a goal in assist. Hulshof really got going in Saturday's 7-1 victory over the Fredonia Blue Devils though. The Stouffville, Ontario native knocked in two goals and assisted on two more, giving him four points total on the night. Hulshof ended the weekend with a team leading +/- of plus six.
With 13 goals on the season, Hulshof currently leads the team in that category.
Men's ice hockey's game against Stonehill on Tuesday has been cancelled indefenitely. The team will resume play at 7 p.m. on Saturday as it travels to Cortland to take on the Red Dragons.
