OSWEGO, N.Y. - Alli Ullrich of the women's ice hockey team has been named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending on February 1, 2015.
Ullrich was a force on the special teams this weekend, recording five of her six points during the power play during a 2-0 home series against Buffalo State.
In Friday's game, Ullrich notched the first goal for the Lakers as she came in from the blue line during a 5-on-3 and sent the puck past the goalies shoulder. The sophomore wasn't done there, as she assisted on the team's second goal, once again on the power play.
The St. Louis native kept the ball rolling into Saturday's game, recording her best game, points-wise, of her career. Ullrich started hot, assisting on the Lakers first two goals of the game. She ended the game even hotter though, recording the team's seventh goal and assisting on the eighth, helping Oswego defeat the Bengals 8-1.
Women's ice hockey returns to the ice at 7 p.m. on Tuesday as it heads to Utica to take on the Pioneers in a make-up game from earlier in the season.
