OSWEGO, N.Y. - The entire second line of the Oswego State men's hockey team has been named the Male Athletes of the Week for the week ending on February 8, 2015.

Recording an unprecedented 21 points combined, the line consisting of Mitchell Herlihey, Mike Montagna and Shawn Hulshof had a career weekend.

Hulshof, who accounted for nine of the 21 points, set a personal career-high points in a game with five. The Stouffville native was the playmaker for the line, recording four assists on the night. He also netted the what-would-prove-to-be game winner in the second period. Hulshof didn't let off the pedal as in the next game he recorded two power-play goals and another two assists.

Herlihey showed no signs of being a freshman this weekend, notching six points of his own. In Friday's game Herlihey set a personal best five points in a 6-2 victory over the Mustangs. He registered two goals and tacked on three assists for the Lakers. Herlihey then picked another assist during the following days game.

Montagna was not to be outdone by his linemates, tallying six points of his own through the two-game home series. The Fulton native picked up four points in Friday's contest, scoring two goals and asissting on two others. Montagna continued to show off his offensive prowess in Saturday's win, scoring Oswego's third goal of the evening. He also earned an apple on the Lakers' first goal.

Of the 11 goals scored by the Lakers this weekend, there were five goals in which all three members of the second line earned a point.

Men's ice hockey will return to action at 7 p.m. on Friday, when it travels to Brockport to take on the Golden Eagles.
