OSWEGO, N.Y. - Sabia Filiaci of the women's swimming and diving team has been named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending on February 22, 2015.
Filiaci raced in a couple events, helping the team capture seventh in the SUNYAC Championships over the weekend.
The senior's best performance came on day two of the competition, as she placed second in the 100-yard. Filiaci touched the wall at just .7 seconds after the leader, earning the Lakers 17 points. Filiaci also helped in the 200-yard medley relay, where her and her teammates took seventh and collected another 24 points.
At the conclusion of the Championships, Filiaci was named to the All-SUNYAC Second Team for her performance in the 100-yard fly.
