OSWEGO, N.Y. - Jordan Giller of the baseball team has been named the Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on April 5, 2015.
Giller demonstrated his skills at the plate this week, going 9-for-17 (.529) through Oswego's five victories, helping the Lakers remain undefeated in the SUNYAC.
The junior's best outing came during the second game of a doubleheader against New Paltz on Saturday. Giller went a perfect 3-for-3, recording a double and a triple. He ended the five-game stretch with seven RBI, five runs-scored, four doubles, one triple and five walks. The Toronto native never struck out while batting as well.
In the field, Giller manned first base where he notched 42 putouts throughout the five contests.Â
Baseball will return to action at 3 p.m. on Tuesday as the team heads down to Cortland to take on the Red Dragons
