OSWEGO, N.Y. - Wes Randall of the baseball team has been named the Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on May 3, 2015.
Wes Randall led the team at the plate this week as the team went 4-3 overall, including a trip to the SUNYAC title game.
The sophomore batted .565 (13-for-23) between the seven games and in just the SUNYAC Championship, batted .667 (12-for-18). In the team's win over No. 1 Cortland, he went a perfect 3-for-3. Randall also notched four runs scored and two RBI over the week, including one double. The Syracuse native was successful on both of his stolen base attempts as well.
In the field, Randall had a perfect fielding percentage, that consisted of 20 putouts and one assist.
Baseball returns to the diamond at 3 p.m. on Tuesday as it hosts the Clarkson Knights.
