OSWEGO, N.Y. - Austin nau of the men's swimming and diving team has been named the Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on Oct. 25, 2015.
Nau earned three first-place finishes this week, helping Oswego achieve a 1-1 record.
The Rochester, N.Y. native led the Lakers during Saturday's victory over Oneonta starting with a first place finish in the 50-yard freestyle. He continued the the freestyle trend, touching the wall first in the 100-yard. Nau captured his third win of the day as he teamed up with Alexander Kemper, Zack Gerber and John Miller in the 200-yard freestyle, finishing with a time of 1:29.96.Â
In Wednesday's loss against the Rochester Institute of Technology, Nau nearly took first in the 100-yard free, clocking in at 49.77, just .69 behind the leader.
Men's swimming and diving returns to the pool at 1 p.m. on Saturday as it heads to Aurora, N.Y. to take on Wells College.
