OSWEGO, N.Y. – Brianna Rice of the women’s ice hockey team has been named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 29, 2015.

In a 2-1 victory over Hamilton College on the road on Tuesday, the junior recorded the first goal of the game and also delivered an assist.

Rice scored her third goal of the season off a rebound in the initial five minutes of the first period. The Newmarket, Ont. native then assisted freshman Amy Templeman in her first-collegiate goal, after winning a battle for the puck behind the net. The assist in the third period broke a 1-1 tie and locked away the win for Oswego.

Women’s ice hockey will be back on the ice at 3 p.m. on Friday when the Lakers host Neumann University. The two teams will also match up again at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
