OSWEGO, N.Y. – Hannah Jensen of the women’s swimming and diving team has been named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 6, 2015.
Jensen helped pace Oswego to a sixth-place overall finish at the Hamilton Invitational. The Campbell, N.Y. native rounded up a fourth place finish in the 100-yard freestyle on day one by touching the wall at 56.56.
Also on day one, Jensen took part in the 400-yard freestyle relay where the team finished in fifth. On the second day, she led the same group to a second place finish in the 200-yard freestyle. The squad was just 1.04 seconds off of the meet record.
The freshman finished off the weekend by placing 15 out of over 38 competitors in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:07.47.
Swimming and diving will return after the holiday break with a home dual meet against the Bengals of Buffalo State beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 16.
