OSWEGO, N.Y. Sean Maloney of the wrestling team has been named the Oswego State Co-Athlete of the Week for the week ending on Jan. 3, 2015.
Maloney went 1-1 this weekend at the NY/PA duals, contributing a win in the Lakers victory on Sunday.
The junior from West Nyack, N.Y.  earned a shutout 5-0 decision victory over his King's College opponent, collecting three points for the Lakers in the team's win. Earlier in the day against Lycoming College, Maloney was defeated 6-3 in a hard fought battle at the 184-weight class.Â
On the year, Maloney's record sits at an even .500 (3-3).
Wrestling hits the mats again on Friday as it heads down to Pennsylvania for the two-day Budd Whitehill DIII Duals hosted by Lycoming.
