Alexa Restante of the women’s soccer team was named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 23.

In a matchup versus Cortland on Saturday, the junior scored the two Laker goals giving her the first multi-goal game of her collegiate career. The game winning goal was scored in the 24^th minute after Restante stole the ball at midfield, beat her defender, and put it past the goalie.

With two goals against Cortland, the Manlius N.Y. native has scored four goals on the season, beating her previous career-high of three.

The Lakers 2-1 win helped secure a spot in this year’s SUNYAC playoffs. Oswego will travel to face No. 4 seed Plattsburgh on Saturday.

Women’s soccer returns to the field at 3 p.m. on Tuesday as it hosts the Hamilton Continentals at Laker Soccer Field.
