Heather Hebert of the Oswego State women’s basketball team has been named the Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending on Dec. 11, 2016.

Hebert led the Lakers to their first SUNYAC victory of the year by turning in a 19-point performance in Saturday’s 65-48 win over the Buffalo State Bengals.

The junior scored 21 more points in Friday’s game, which totals 40 points over the games. She also cleared 17 rebounds during the two games.

Women’s basketball returns to action just after the New Year on Tuesday, Jan. 2 against Nazareth College. The nonconference tilt will begin at 6 p.m.
