Mike Brewster (East Syracuse/East Syracuse-Minoa), senior captain of the men’s lacrosse team, is the leading scorer for this year’s men’s lacrosse team. He scored one assist against nationally-ranked and SUNYAC #1 seed Geneseo on Wednesday in a 20-5 setback. He then scored 3 goals and an assist in a 12-6 victory over Oneonta, the Lakers’ first against the Red Dragons in 12 years. The win gave the Lakers a 5-2 SUNYAC record and the #3 seed going into this week’s conference playoffs. Brewster’s team-leading 46 points place him sixth in career scoring (116 points) and first in career assists (64) among all Laker midfielders. Overall, he is ranked tied for 21st in all-time scoring and tied for sixth in on the all-time assists list.
Brewster, a history major, is the son of Jim and Terri Brewster of East Syracuse.
