Abigail Boyce of the women’s track and field was named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 12.
During the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday, Boyce set a new program record in the 60-meter hurdles. With her time of 9.46 seconds, she not only won her section, but also currently holds the program’s top-3 times for the event.
Boyce completed her day, running in the 4-by-400 meter relay. The team led by the Lockport, N.Y. native finished the race in 4:04.79, which was good enough to take first place in their heat.
Women’s track and field returns to the track on Saturday, as they travel to Brockport to participate in the Golden Eagle Invite.
