Montana Garrett of the women’s lacrosse team was named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 9.

During a 17-6 win over Potsdam on Wednesday, the freshman scored a career-high six goals on six shots. She also collected two ground balls and had a draw control.

Against Oneonta on Saturday, she backed up her best statistical performance of the season with a five-point game, scoring four goals and recording an assist in the 9-7 win.

The Cortland Manor, N.Y. native now leads the team with 19 goals on the season.

Women’s lacrosse will return to action Tuesday at 4 p.m. as the team will host the New Paltz Hawks.
