Oswego State Athletics

The Starting Pitcher Duo of Tim Cronin and Mitchell Cavanagh of the baseball team was named the Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 16.

Cronin and Cavanagh started games a pair of games against Brockport and Plattsburgh, recording four out of the five Laker wins on the week. Pitching almost identical stat lines, both players threw 14 innings giving up one earned run for an ERA of 0.64.

Over Cronin’s 14 innings of work, he struck out nine batters while scattering nine hits and one walk. Cavanagh struck out 12 batters and allowed only five hits, while walking four. Both Players are currently undefeated (7-0 and 6-0) and have recorded an ERA under 2.00 (1.99 & 1.79, respectively) for the season.

Baseball will return to action at 2 p.m. on Tuesday as the team will host the Golden Knights of Clarkson at Laker Baseball Field.
