Jimmy Terzian of the men’s tennis team has been named Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the weekend ending Sept. 24.

Terzian won at fourth singles in Oswego’s first match of the year at Alfred University, taking the first set convincingly, 6-0, and staving off the comeback attempt in the second set, 6-4. The senior also helped Oswego capture its only points from doubles on the day, holding on for the 8-7 pro-set win. The match in doubles proved to be the deciding point that allowed Oswego the victory.

Terzian and the Lakers now look ahead to facing Daemen College on the road at 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 1.
