OSWEGO, N.Y. - Colin Greenseich of the men’s cross country team has been named the Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on Nov 12. During the Atlantic Region Cross Country Championships this past Saturday afternoon, Greenseich and the Lakers placed 14th out of 42 participating men’s programs.

The senior continued his outstanding fall season by turning in a program record on Saturday, clocking a time of 25:06.3 in the 8K. His time broke teammate Dylan McCarthy’s previous program record in the same event of 25:24.5, and earned Greenseich a 15th place finish out of 290 runners in the competition.

The North Syracuse native looks to build on his All-Region honors as one of seven individuals chosen from the Atlantic Regionals to qualify for the NCAA DIII Cross Country Championships held on Nov. 18 in Elsah, Ill. Greenseich is the first male cross country runner from Oswego to qualify in 15 years.
