OSWEGO, N.Y. – Junior Rachael Windhausen of the Oswego State women’s basketball has been named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Dec. 10.  Windhausen averaged 12.0 points and 8.7 rebounds as the team went 1-2 on the week.
 
Windhausen’s breakout game was on Friday night as the Liverpool, N.Y. native poured in 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in a 65-58 road-win over Buffalo State.  Windhausen shot 61.5% from the field to help the team to its first conference win of the season and included a colossal 26-point fourth quarter.
 
For the week, the forward averaged 35.7 minutes, shot 48.1% from the field and added 1.7 blocks per game to lead the team.
 
This is the second athlete of the week award for Windhausen, who was also honored during the week ending Nov. 20.  The basketball team is back in action on Friday when they travel to Cazenovia College for a 5:30 p.m. tip with the Wildcats.
