OSWEGO, N.Y. – Alison Berger – of the volleyball team – was named Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 16. The senior was named to the Oswego State Invitational All-Tournament Team.
She tallied 74 assists on 93 attempts over her 14 sets played, earning 5.29 assists per set. Berger is second on the team in most assists (171).
The Plainview, N.Y. native set for 33 of the teams 47 assists in Oswego’s 3-1 victory over the Elmira College Soaring Eagles on Saturday, while serving three of the teams seven aces.
She had a perfect hitting percentage in the 3-1 win over Canton on Friday afternoon, as she had two kills on two attempts.
The senior served the Lakers’ lone ace in the team’s matchup with St. Lawrence University Saturday afternoon.
Berger and the volleyball team returns to action on Tuesday, as they host Keuka College for a 7 p.m. contest.
