OSWEGO, N.Y. – Emma Allen - of the women’s soccer team – has been named an Oswego State Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 23.

On Wednesday, in a narrow 1-0 loss to No. 23 University of Rochester, Allen tallied nine saves. In the Lakers’ SUNYAC opener on Saturday, she collected four more saves to help them to a 1-0 victory over Cortland.

The Syracuse, N.Y. native now has 39 saves on the season and is third in SUNYAC with a save percentage of .866.

Allen and the Lakers continue SUNYAC play with a 4 p.m. contest on Friday when they host New Paltz.
