OSWEGO, N.Y. – Anthony Paris – of the men’s soccer team – was named Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 7.

The junior-transfer out of Monroe Community College scored his first career goal as a Laker in their 1-0 win over Potsdam on Saturday, their first SUNYAC win on the season. Jack Van Pelt crossed the ball into the middle of the box for Paris, as he was able to touch the ball into the left corner of the net at 3:42 in the first half.

The Rochester, N.Y. native now has 10 goals and 22 points for his collegiate career.

Paris and the Lakers return to Laker Turf Stadium 4 p.m. Friday in their conference matchup against Buffalo State.
