OSWEGO, N.Y. – Alison Sullivan – of the women’s volleyball team – was named Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 21.

Sullivan helped pace the Lakers to a 2-1 record in the SUNYAC Pool Play at Brockport over the weekend as they clinched a spot in the playoffs. She tallied a total of 22 kills and 18 blocks on the weekend, including a career-high eight blocks in a 3-0 win against Buffalo State.

The Dedham, Mass., native has been recognized for her blocking ability. She set a Laker program record this season as the all-time blocks leader. Her 107 total blocks on the year leads SUNYAC and as of Friday Oct. 19, she is also 23rd in the nation in total blocks.

Sullivan and the Lakers return to the court at 7 p.m. Wednesday with a non-conference matchup at Wells College.
