OSWEGO, N.Y. – Melissa Lussier – of the women’s volleyball team – was named Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 4.

Lussier had a big week for the Lakers in the SUNYAC Championship playoffs. She tied her season-high 14 kills that included two aces on Oct. 30 in a 3-2 upset win over No. 3 Brockport.

In Saturday’s SUNYAC semifinal matchup against No. 2 New Paltz, the sophomore led the team once again in kills with 10, adding seven digs in the Lakers 3-1 loss.

As the Lakers season came to an end, the Cortlandt Manor, N.Y. native finished second on the team in kills (206) and points (252).
