OSWEGO, N.Y. – Quinn Carey – of the Oswego State men’s basketball team – was named Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 25.

In last Tuesday’s 80-60 defeat of Clarkson, Carey went on a frenzy beyond the arc as he joined the 1000-point club for his collegiate career. He drained seven 3-pointers on 22 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Lakers. The senior had 16 of those points and five of those threes come in the second half as the Lakers were able to pull away to improve to 3-0 on the season.

The Ponte Vedra, Fla. native and transfer out of SUNY Geneseo already has 14 threes on the season. He led the SUNYAC in 3-pointers made (91) during the 2017-2018 season.

Carey and the Lakers look to remain undefeated as they host the Nazareth Golden Flyers at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night for a non-conference matchup.
