OSWEGO, N.Y. – Paul Tammaro – of the baseball team – was named Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 17.

The freshman was the most consistent Laker hitter during a 4-0 week in South Carolina, sweeping conference rival Plattsburgh. Tammaro had at least two hits in three of Oswego’s four contests, collecting five runs and three RBI for the second spot in the lineup.

He had a batting average of .600 (9-for-15) and an on-base percentage of .667. The starting shortstop also had a perfect week in the field, tallying four putouts and seven assists on 11 chances.

Tammaro and the Lakers return to action on Tuesday for a doubleheader with Western New England, beginning at 11 a.m. in Lexington County Baseball Stadium.
