OSWEGO, N.Y. – Sarah Yensan – of the women’s track and field team – was named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending May 6.

The junior leaped her way to a first place finish in the SUNYAC Track and Field Championship long jump event on Saturday at Brockport. Her leap of 5.56 meters marked her farthest one of the season, and best since last year’s AARTFC meet.

Yensen and the Lakers will travel to Geneseo for the Last Chance Meet at 10 a.m. on Saturday, and then to Cortland for the Atlantic Region Championships on May 15 and 16.
