OSWEGO, N.Y. – Emily Gustafson – of the women’s cross country team – was named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 1.

The sophomore broke the course record in claiming first place at the Fredonia State Invitational.  Her time of 15:49 was twenty seconds better than the previous course record and nearly a minute faster than the rest of the field.

Gustafson and the Lakers will travel to New Paltz on September 14 for an 11 a.m. start at the Pre-SUNYAC Invitational.
