Oswego State Athletics

Jake VanEtten recorded four top five finishes in helping the Oswego State men’s team to a fourth place finish at the SUNY Athletic Conference swimming and diving championship. The Laker freshman placed fourth in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 1:56.71, recording a new Oswego State record in that event. He was a member of the 400 yard freestyle relay team that placed fourth with a time of 3:12.21 and the 200 yard freestyle relay that also placed fourth with a time of 1:39.58. VanEtten, a biochemistry major, also swam on the fifth-place 200 yard medley relay which recorded a time of 1:38.70.

VanEtten is the son of Robert and Shelly VanEtten of Ravena.
