OSWEGO, N.Y. - Steven Rojas - of the men’s soccer team - was named the Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 6. 

Rojas found the back of the net 26 seconds into the second half to keep the lakers unbeaten in SUNYAC play. The freshman scored the lone goal for Oswego in a 1-1 tie against #13/24 Cortland at home on Saturday afternoon.

Oswego’s tie snapped a 12-game losing streak dating back to 2007 and is the first tie between the two in 26 years.

Rojas and the Lakers return to action as they play host to Oneonta in a conference matchup this Saturday at 4 p.m.
