Oswego, N.Y. - Freshman Jeremiah Sparks - of the men's basketball team - has been named the Oswego State Co-Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 1.

Sparks poured in 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in helping Oswego to a 77-73 road victory over Nazareth College on Tuesday. The Jordan, N.Y. native scored 11 straight Laker points in the pivotal second-half run that put Oswego to top for good.

He is one of five players averaging double-figures for the basketball team, with 13 points per game.

Sparks and the men's basketball team return to action at 7:30 p.m. Monday, December 2 as they travel to St. Lawrence University.
