Oswego, N.Y. - Senior Joe Sullivan - of the men's basketball team - has been named the Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 12.

Sullivan averaged a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds in the team's pair of 20-point conference victories this past weekend. In the Friday victory over Fredonia, he put up 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds while adding a team-best five steals. Against the Bengals, he improved to 18 points and 13 rebounds for his seventh double-double in 11 games this season.

The Utica, N.Y. native is first on the team in rebounds (10.6) and third in the conference in that category, as well as second on the team with a 14.8 points-per-game scoring average.

SUllivan and the men's basketball team return to action at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday as they travel to New Paltz for conference action.
