OSWEGO, N.Y. – Madison Hoeflich – of the softball team – has been named Oswego State Co-Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 28.

The Buffalo native helped Oswego to a doubleheader split with RIT last Monday to open the 2021 season.  In the nightcap, Hoeflich held the Tigers to three runs in a complete-game victory.  With one out and the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh and the Lakers holding a one-run edge, the sophomore induced a pair of groundouts to close out the contest.

Hoeflich and the Oswego State softball team are tentatively slated to return to action on Thursday at 3 p.m. when they host Geneseo in a doubleheader to open conference action.
