OSWEGO, N.Y. – Shae McConnell – of the women’s lacrosse team – has been named Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 4.

The rookie attacker had four goals in a 16-10 SUNYAC win over Fredonia on Saturday.  It was her second-straight four goal outing as she put up a quartet against Morrisville State in the team’s opener.  McConnell is currently second on the Lakers with eight goals and third with nine total points.

McConnell and the Oswego State lacrosse team are back in action on Wednesday when they host Geneseo in a 4 p.m. SUNYAC battle.  The Knights were ranked #16 in the latest Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWCLA) national rankings.
