OSWEGO, N.Y. – Senior Philomena Teggart - of the women's ice hockey team - has been named Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 16.

Teggart scored the game-winning goal in the team's 2-1 victory over an 11-2 Cortland team when she broke out of her defensive position with junior Ariella Haas on a two-on-one and tipped a pass by the Red Dragon goaltender with 2:30 left.  This was the Pickering (Ont.) native's first goal of the season, although she currently sits third on the team in points with eight.

The women's ice hockey team heads over to Morrisville State on Tuesday for a 2 p.m. NorthEast Women's Hockey League contest.
