OSWEGO, N.Y. – Steven Kozikoski - of the men's ice hockey team has been named Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 23.

Laker goalie Steven Kozikoski helped Oswego improve to 12-4-1 and 7-1-1 in the SUNYAC with a pair of wins over Potsdam and Plattsburgh during the weekend.  The Lakers move into a tie with Geneseo atop the conference standings with wins.

The Liverpool native had 14 saves in a 3-0 shutout over Potsdam on Friday night and added 26 in a 5-2 victory over Plattsburgh on Saturday.  Kozikoski currently ranks eighth nationally in goals-against average at 1.62 per contest and seventh in save percentage (.941).

The Oswego State men's ice hockey team travels down to Cortland for a 7 p.m. contest against the Red Dragons on Friday.
