OSWEGO, N.Y. – Lukas Olsson - of the Baseball team - has been named Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending May 1st.
This week, Lukas Olsson had twelve RBI's in three games against the #5 nationally ranked Red Dragons of Cortland, going 6-13 in the series with three homeruns and an average of .533. Olsson drove in five RBI's in the first game of the series including two homeruns, one two-run homrun and a walk-off three-run homerun in the bottom of the tenth inning. Game two, Olsson had the game-tying RBI in the first inning with a single to hold the Red Dragons at bay. In the third and final game of the series, Lukas had another monstrous game at the plate with SIX RBI's and one homerun. In the fifth inning Olsson hit his third homerun of the series. Olsson then put two more runs on the board for Oswego, putting the Bayport, NY native at 35 RBI's on the season.
