Nick's remarkable athletic career at SUNY Oswego is distinguished by his exceptional achievements on the men's basketball team, spanning from 2003 to 2008. He was named the 2003-2004 SUNYAC Rookie of the Year, quickly establishing himself as a pivotal player. Perioli's leadership was evident as he served as team captain in 2004-2005, 2005-2006, and 2007-2008. His efforts on the court earned him 1st Team All-SUNYAC honors and recognition as a 2nd Team Division-3 All-East Region player. Perioli also excelled in assists, leading the conference twice and holding the all-time record with 567 career assists. He was a standout defensively, setting the career record for steals with 226. His contributions were further acknowledged with the SUNY Oswego Attitude Award, the SUNY Oswego Male Athlete of the Year, and the SUNY Oswego Leadership Award. Perioli also made a mark in baseball, earning 1st Team All-SUNYAC honors in 2007 and 2nd team all SUNYAC in 2006. In both seasons he earned a batting average of over .400. His influence extended beyond his playing days as he continued to contribute as an assistant basketball coach in 2008-2009. Perioli remains the only player in school history to accumulate over 1,000 points, 400 rebounds, 500 assists, and 200 steals, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest athletes in Oswego State history.
