Field Hockey Drops Final Contest Of The Season

CANTON, N.Y. – The Oswego State field hockey team fell to the St. Lawrence Saints by a score of 4-2, in its final contest of the season on Friday afternoon. Oswego's record falls to 7-8 whereas the Saints improve to 6-11.

Monica Harvey provided a majority of the Laker offense on the afternoon, scoring both goals. Starting off, she tallied her first score in the 31st minute to give Oswego a 1-0 lead. Following it up, the junior used a strong starting position and drilled the shot from in close. The goals were her sixth and seventh goals of the year, which also earned her the team lead.

Aside from Harvey's four shots-on-goal, the Lakers offense was assisted by the efforts of four other players. Riley Mallett (1), Lacey Woite (2), Grace Rinaldi (3), and Kendra Walker (3) combined for nine on-target shots.

Defensively, Sarita Charap played the entire 70 minutes in the goal and made seven saves. Corinne Kimmelman helped by adding a defensive save.
