POTSDAM, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's and women's cross country teams took part in the SUNYAC Championships on Saturday afternoon. Out of the ten men's and women's teams that participated, the Laker men placed third, while the Laker women took eighth.

Colin Greenseich had the top Laker finish, placing fourth out of 111 runners. The senior finished with a time of 27:03.6 in the 8K. It was the best Laker individual finish at the SUNYAC Championships since at least 2008.  Less than 20 seconds behind Greenseich was junior Dylan McCarthy, who placed eighth with a time of 27:22.7. Both Greenseich and McCarthy were inducted into the 2017 SUNYAC Cross Country Championships Hall of Fame. Greenseich earned the honor by finishing in the top five, while McCarthy earned it for finishing in the top 10 during two SUNYAC Championships.

Sophomore Jamie Kasza and senior Morgan Bronner were neck and neck in the women's 6K. Kasza placed 37th with a time of 25:10.2, while Bronner finished exactly five seconds behind her to place 38th. At her first SUNYAC Championship, freshman Kayla Wheeler also finished in the top 50 for individuals, with a time of 25:32.6.

Next, the teams will travel to Houghton to compete in the NCAA Atlantic Regional at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11.
