ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's swimming and diving team claimed their first victory of the season while the women fell at Oneonta on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Luis Perez claimed two individual wins, while also helping the Lakers to a relay victory.
• Perez claimed the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:07.14 and the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 56.42.
• The sophomore also helped Oswego claim  the 200-yard medley relay to a time of 1:43.97 with the help of JJ Alaniz, Nate Einstein and Ryan Kreuser.
• Alex Davie and Walker Snowden placed one and two in the 50-yard freestyle with times of 22.12 and 22.57 respectively.
• Also recording individual swimming victories for the Lakers was Einstein and Nicholas Weber, while Cameron Ellis claimed the top-spot in the men's 1-meter dive with a score of 272.05.
• For the women, the divers led the way. In the first round of the 1-meter dive, Meghan Maquet (147.50) placed first with Miranda Frascatore (143.50) and Laura Bornheimer (140.10) following close behind.
• In their second round, Frascatore took first with a score of 222.70, while Maquet and Bornheimer followed.
• Hannah Jensen tallied two victories for the swimmers, taking the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.04 and the 100-yard freestyle with 56.97.

Oswego returns to the pool at 1 p.m. on Saturday as it hosts the Wells College Express at Laker Pool.
